High season in Cuba: when to book your car
In high season, cars in Cuba sell out and prices go up. If you're traveling on those dates, booking early is the difference between getting the car you want and having no car at all.
High season dates
- From December 10, 2026 to January 5, 2027
- From March 20, 2027 to March 27, 2027 (some cars only)
- From June 15, 2027 to August 15, 2027
- From December 10, 2027 to January 5, 2028
How much does the price go up?
| Car | Regular season | High season |
|---|---|---|
| Hyundai Grand I10 | from $55/day | from $80/day |
| Kia Picanto | from $66/day | from $91/day |
| Hyundai Accent | from $73/day | from $98/day |
| Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan | from $83/day | from $105/day |

High season rules
- Most cars have a 5-day minimum.
- If your rental includes both regular and high season days, each day is charged at its own rate.
- Availability is limited: the most requested cars (automatics, SUVs and 7+ seaters) go first.
How far ahead should I book?
- Christmas and New Year's: 2 to 3 months ahead.
- Summer: at least 1 month ahead.
- Rest of the year: a few weeks is enough, though the earlier you book, the more options you have.
Remember that booking costs nothing: you send the request and only pay once we confirm the car. See how to book step by step.
